Race 1 - Day 6
After a windy couple of days and experiencing gusts of 45 knots in a reasonable sea state, the crew have vastly improved on the helm. Some awesome night time helming in the pitch dark has helped to keep everyone in their bunks.
Everyone has put in 100% over the last 48 hours. We are now trucking along in some steady breeze trying to get the best possible time for our Ocean Sprint whilst not losing the wind. The fleet are extremely close and makes more some important tactical decisions trying to catch up with the flying Dutch. Having thought we might have slipped away from a few of the boats, Dare To Lead managed to pull a fast one through the night.
Looking forward to what the next 48 hours will bring with some wind holes, but hopefully us and the crew can catch up on some sleep and enjoy some nachos and juice in the sunshine.
All the best from the crew, myself and James!
